Hook is an important component of lifting machinery, divided into two types: forged hook and plate hook. When carrying out lifting operations, the heavy object is hooked onto the hook, and the hook directly contacts the lifted object. The quality of the hook is related to the safety of the lifting operation. In order to ensure the safe use of the hook, a technical inspection report is required before the hook leaves the factory.
The technical inspection items include:
Material inspection: The hook material should be made of high-quality low-carbon killed steel or low-carbon alloy steel. Load test, using hooks for manually driven lifting mechanisms, with 1.5 times the rated load as the inspection load;
The hook should be able to reliably support twice the inspection load without falling off, and there should be a safety device to prevent accidental detachment of the lifting object;
After unloading the hook to the inspection load, the increase in opening degree should not exceed 0.25% of the original opening degree without any obvious defects or deformation. Surface inspection: The surface of the hook should be smooth and clean, without peeling, sharp corners, burrs, cracks, etc; Marking and document inspection, including certificate of conformity, rated lifting capacity, manufacturer name, inspection mark, production number, etc.
